Rigging Gurus (RG) is a Limited Company established to serve the interests of Laser SB3 Sailors. RG is owned and operated by Mark Richards and Alan Hillman.

Mark Richards has been the mainstay of UK operations from the South Coast of the UK. Mark has sat on the UK Class association from the beginning and has been instrumental in developing many of the RG developments, sailing competitively in the fleet since its conception. As far as the development of the global presence of the SB3, Mark’s most notable involvement was securing the VW Touareg sponsorship with the then MD of Laser, Dave Graham.

As well as being a director of Rigging Gurus, Alan works on his other sailing interests which include Race Directing for events such as The Extreme 40 World Championships, in port racing for the Extreme 40’s in the Volvo Ocean race, running the innovative iShares cup for 2 years and a Race Direction role in the Barcelona World race. Alan is currently developing an arm of Rigging Gurus in Spain which is introducing the SB3 to the region as well as teaching clients from all over Europe the joys of the Foiling Moth. Alan was one of the first to ever sail the SB3 production boat and with a lifetime of coaching, sailing and windsurfing experience immediately saw the opportunity.
